Have you ever wondered why, after finding out that the guy you loved so much. . . does nothing but only treats you well? May be having that someone beside him at really young age may cause break-ups & will only hurt the person's heart & may not be able to have happy endings. You are the "things" that guys ponder a lot about, that goes round & round. Sometimes rather than studies. Don't lose hope. For the loves you & wants for the better near future. He might even have thought of the gown he wish to see you in. Sometimes he isn't sure if you're only playing around & doesn't want taking risks that ruins the friendship.
